G20 Policy Formation: RCE Dublin contributing to G20 policy recommendations for monitoring and assessing progress in Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education

On October 9th2020, a policy brief on monitoring progress vis-à-vis Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) was launched by the think tank for G20 policy formation. The Director of RCE Dublin, Dr. Charlotte Holland was lead author of this publication, which provides guidance for G20 leaders on ways to monitor and assess progress in the achievement of Target 4.7 of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). In this regard, the policy brief includes discussion of both qualitative and quantitative means of tracking the integration of ESD-GCED in policy, curricula and local practices.
